India´s Covid-19 tally rose to 34,960,261, while active cases increased to 1,071,830. The number of deaths climbed to 482,017, according to statistics from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Meanwhile, 34,306,414 people have been recovered from the infection.
On Monday, Covid-19 active cases jumped to 171,830, according to official data.
On the other hand, India has reported 1,892 omicron variant cases, which is already present in most of the states and territories of the country. Maharashtra (568), Delhi (382), Kerala (185), Rajasthan (174), Gujarat (152) and Tamil Nadu (121).
