The company, under the general direction of the renowned dancer Viengsay Valdés, will perform its most recent and successful premiere, Seventh Symphony, a choreography by Uwe Scholz with music by German Ludwig van Beethoven, on the 251st anniversary of his birth.
The program is completed with the piece Love Fear Loss by Brazilian Ricardo Amarante that incorporates three songs popularized by the legendary French diva Edith Piaf: Hymne A L’amour (Hymn to love), Ne me quitte pas (Do not abandon me) and Mon Dieu (My God), performed on piano.
Finally, the work Winter, by Cuban dancer and choreographer Ely Regina Hernández, with music by Tchaikovski will add the participation of Marcos Madriga, who will accompany the BNC performances on piano, to begin next Thursday and Friday at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday at 17:00 local time.
Previously, the world-renowned cast celebrated the 63rd anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution with a gala transmitted on TV and in atypical stages of the surroundings and inside the Alicia Alonso Gran Teatro de La Habana.
