According to the MINSAP, 10,440,834 people have received an injection of Cuban immunizers, while 9,303,516 have been administered two doses and 8,939,542 got three doses.
In addition 9,659,851 citizens have received the complete vaccination scheme, accounting for 86.4 percent of the country’s population, the source said.
According to Cuba’s scientific community, the Cuba-made vaccines are safe and do not cause serious side effects.
Currently, a vaccination campaign is being carried out gradually to administer a booster dose in order achieving more protection against new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and make health measures more flexible.
According to the National Statistics and Information Office, Cuba had a population of about 11.18 million at the end of 2020.
