Madrid, Dec 29 (Prensa Latina) The Amistad Cuba-Vietnam special school received donations from Valencia, Spain, as part of a campaign to confront the United States blockade, it was reported on Wednesday.

The website Cubainformacion reported that the Jose Marti Valencia-Cuba Friendship Association sent the aid in a container handled by MediCuba Spain and other organizations.

The donations and the payment for transportation to Cuba are part of a unitary campaign of the State Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MESC), which denounces the economic, commercial and financial blockade that Washington has imposed on the Caribbean island for almost 60 years.

The educational center in Santiago de Cuba, which cares for boys and girls with physical-motor disabilities, received 16 wheelchairs, 21 walkers, six crutches and canes, and dozens of packages of diapers, donated by the Valencian-based Jose Marti Association, School Principal Ydiobis Rodriguez confirmed to reporters.

Cubainformacion pointed out that the institution was inaugurated on April 23, 2019, by Raul Castro and President Miguel Diaz-Canel.
