The talks between Tehran and the 4+1 group (United Kingdom, France, Russia and China plus Germany) are focused on reactivating the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear agreement, illegally abandoned by Washington.
Almost all representatives in the negotiations agree that the priority includes abolishing the anti-Iranian coercive measures, said Baqeri Kani.
The issue, he added, is included on the agenda of the joint meetings between Iran and the rest of the signatories of the pact as well as the meetings of experts.
The delegations agreed to consider the proposals of the Islamic republic to verify the elimination of the sanctions and the guarantees that the United States will not resort to them again.
Iranian negotiators reiterated that whoever violated the agreement signed in 2015 must take the first step towards consent (eliminate oppressive measures) and after verification, Iran will return to its obligations to the agreement along with all the signatories.
The verification was accepted by the rest of the signatories, Kani said, but the mechanism, frameworks and measures need to be agreed upon so that Washington complies with the provisions of the JCPOA and does not break the deal again.
