The money was provided by donors, both private and from organizations, and sent over to MediCuba-Europa, as part of an initiative launched by Cuba Linda and France Cuba after the campaign that gathered 84,000 Euros between April and June for the purchase of a million syringes destined to the Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
The promoters of the solidarity action in France called to make new contributions in support of Cuba’s battle against both the pandemic and the US blockade.
The President of Cuba Linda, Didier Lalande, said during an interview that Cuba has demonstrated all its scientific and biotechnological potential in times of Covid-19 by creating domestic vaccines despite the posed by the blockade.
“Our previous campaign was supporting the Covid-19 immunization through MediCuba-Europa, but Cuba continues working in developing its healthcare system and new products, which is why we ratify the compromise to accompany (Cuba)”, he said.
Lalande thanked the response from hundreds of people in France to the solidarity initiatives and highlighted the vision of Fidel Castro of turning Cuba into a land of men and women of science.
