The Iranian authorities described the actions of the representatives of the European triad as bad “cops”, although they had to accept proposals from Tehran to keep the negotiations going.
The so-called E3 showed opposition to the drafts presented by Iran that contemplate the abolition of anti-Iranian measures and a return to what was established in the original agreement.
In Tehran’s opinion, these positions delayed a solution for the JCPOA, in crisis since the withdrawal of the United States in May 2018 and as a result of the sanctions ordered by Washington against Iran.
According to reports, the French Government is the most reluctant to Iran’s positions and analysts estimate that, by negotiating arms sales with West Asian states, it is trying to create an artificial situation to achieve its objectives.
In any case, the entire Middle East would applaud a nuclear agreement that guarantees security and stability that would be counterproductive to the interests of the West.
