In donation, which took place at the national storage center in Las Adjuntas, Libertador de Caracas municipality, Health Minister Carlos Alvarado explained that Venezuela also received other medical equipment donation from the International Red Cross.

He assured such actions are part of all joint work conducted with PAHO and the UN System.

“With this capacity that we are acquiring, we can simultaneously transport more than 3,500,000 vaccine doses from the moment these arrive at the airport,” he said.

PAHO representative Franklin Hernández, on the other hand, reiterated the international organization is willing to continue working to support critical factors to continue responding to the pandemic.
