The meeting of commanders from the military wings of both organizations took place a few days after the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted mass maneuvers near the coastal strip, where more than two million people live.
According to the source, both parties praised the increase in Palestinian attacks in the West Bank and East Jerusalem “in response to the crimes committed by the occupying soldiers and settlers.”
SAFA revealed that several Palestinian organizations present in the strip are planning a joint maneuver to assess their forces in light of an attack by the IDF.
A week ago, Hamas, which has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007, launched the Shield of Jerusalem drill alone.
Since then, Israeli authorities have been implementing a tight blockade against that territory, despite criticism from the international community about the humanitarian consequences for its inhabitants.
