It will be possible, they say, to see the Ursids, the last meteor shower of 2021, which will present its maximum peak of activity on the coming December 22, when it reaches between 10 and 50 meteors per hour, with a speed of about 33 kilometers per second.
That same day will take place the first of three planned conjunctions between planets, a phenomenon that happens when two stars observed from a third, generally the Earth, are at the same celestial longitude.
After that of Venus and Pluto, on the 29th, another will happen between the second planet of the Solar System and Mercury, while on the last day of the year, the Moon will be aligned with Mars.
On December 21, winter officially begins in the northern hemisphere and according to calculations it will have a total duration of 88 days and 23 hours, ending on March 20, 2022 with the start of spring.
