The diplomat, who paid a two-day visit to Villa Clara province, praised the results of the Cuban Covid-19 vaccine candidates, with which around 90% of the Cuban people has been fully vaccinated.
In addition to carrying out economic and cultural exchanges, the Indian ambassador visited the Commander Ernesto Guevara Memorial where Che´s remains are still remained.
After laying a wreath at the Memorial, the Indian ambassador referred to the existing admiration in his nation for Che Guevara, who, in January 1959, visited New Delhi to establish relations between Cuba and India.
Mr. Janakiraman also visited Villa Clara’s economic objectives such as the National Institute of Tropical Foods, milk-producing center, Yabú Valley Agricultural Company in Santa Clara and the Photovoltaic Park.
In statements to the press, the diplomat said Cuba-India relations are strengthening favorably and there are opportunities to expand these exchanges and cooperation.
