In a very difficult teaching context, in which distance education has prevailed for students, the event honored those who helped fight Covid-19, while continuing to fulfill their mission of teaching the new generation of professionals in Physical Culture and Sports in both Cuba and abroad.

We seek to increase all our processes to reach the 50th anniversary of this center with relevant results and in pursuit of academic excellence, University Rector Silvano Merced stressed.

Teachers and former sports glories such as weightlifter Daniel Nuñez, Olympic and world champion, and volleyball player Raisa O’Farrill, double Olympic champion, expressed their satisfaction with being part of the group of professors of the Cuban sports university in statements to Prensa Latina.
