In a ceremony held at the Melia Habana Hotel, the agreement was signed by Cuba´s First Deputy Minister of Tourism María del Carmen Orellana and the Secretary of State of Serbia´s Foreign Ministry Nemanja Starovic.
Such a Memorandum is aimed at strengthening ties in tourism and promoting mutually beneficial actions for both nations, Ms. Orellana said.
After Cuba´s tourism reopening, we are committed to attracting as many visitors as possible and in the last five years we have welcomed 21,520 Serbian travelers, ranking 50th of Cuba´s outbound markets, she added.
Ms. Starovic, on the other hand, made sure that Serbia is currently seeking to improve economic relations with Cuba in terms of Agriculture and Tourism, by supporting the application of high technologies to substitute imports.
Cuba and Serbia have maintained a strong relationship of love and cooperation, and she is convinced Serbian people will continue visiting Cuba, inspired by the affection between the two nations.
