Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh wrote on Twitter that “if E3 (the United Kingdom, Germany and France) wants to be taken seriously as fair partner, it needs to behave like one.”
Any statement on JCPOA that fails to mention US culpability only conveys utter ignorance, Khatibzadeh tweeted.
The Islamic Republic’s authorities state that the pact collapsed when the other parties reneged on what was sealed and especially after the United States illegally withdrew from the deal and coercive anti-Iranian measures were implemented.
On the other hand, Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, stated that good faith and political will are required to bring the talks in Vienna to a successful conclusion.
The United States withdrew from the nuclear deal, while Iran maintained its obligations despite it adopted corrective measures due to the European triad’s inaction in the face of the sanctions imposed by Washington.
