Addressing an exhibition of national products in Kabul, the Taliban official said that because of Washington, millions of Afghan people are suffering a severe economic and humanitarian crisis, The Khaama Press reported.
About recognizing the Taliban Government, the deputy prime minister said that the international community seeks its own interests and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to the national interests.
The White House again denied to release more than 9.5 billion dollars from Afghanistan’s frozen fund and stated that it will not allow the Taliban Government has access to the money.
Earlier, Afghanistan’s acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi demanded the United States to release those assets.
Since the Taliban’s takeover in Kabul, Afghanistan is facing a humanitarian crisis and is in desperate need of international assistance, with more than 24 million Afghans gripped by starvation.
