The head of Bolivian State was received on Monday by Cuban Higher Education Minister Jose Ramon Saborido and First Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Ana Teresita Gonzalez, at the Jose Marti International Airport.
Gonzalez expressed gratitude on behalf of the Cuban Party and Government for the donation of 20 tons of medicines, health supplies and foods, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, which “affects all countries regardless of their development.”
Cuba is also facing the tightening of the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade -she said- that is condemned every year by the international community and it is the main obstacle for the development of our economy.
This 20th Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) comes with challenges for the member countries, faced with an unjust and unequal world economic order, the existence of powers that oppose the yearnings of an independent and integrated Latin America, and the environmental crisis, according to Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Josefina Vidal.
