Supporters of Ukrainian neo-Nazi group detained in Russia

Moscow, Dec 13 (Prensa Latina) The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) on Monday reported the arrest of 106 supporters of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi group MKU in 37 regions all over the country, two of them are suspected of preparing armed attacks on educational institutions.

The group was created by Yegor Krasnov, born in 2000, and included on the international wanted list, who acts under the protection of Ukrainian special services, the FSB communique stated.

“Among those detained were three administrators of Internet communities. They, on Krasnov’s orders, propagated extremist ideology and called to commit violent actions,” the text spread by TASS news agency stated.

The document explained that in the cases of the Russian region of Penza and the Republic of Komi, weapons and hunting ammunition, pistols and pneumatic rifles, a large number of bladed weapons and tear gas canisters were seized to the persons involved in these events.

This is not the first arrest of this kind during 2021. Since early this year, the FSB has conducted several large-scale special operations to arrest MKU supporters.
