In a meeting with the Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, the Finlay Vaccine Institute Director General Vicente Vérez pointed out that the country is currently working on all collaboration networks, but confirmed that the most important thing is to progress on the booster doses.
At the same meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computing of the University of Havana Raúl Guinovart stated that the Covid-19 incidence rate will decrease in the coming few weeks.
According to official figures, 95.7% of the Cuban people is already fully vaccinated with Abdala, Soberana 02 and Soberana Plus vaccine candidates.
On Monday, Cuba confirmed 65 new positive cases, and such a figure has shown a sustained decrease in the daily incidence of the disease.
