With pre-recorded speeches by the guests and a totally manipulated agenda, the meeting was a demagogic exercise, says a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX).

The document adds that the summit had no benefit to the international community and without any proposal to solve the most pressing problems of the world we share.

As a political artifice, it only served to show the growing isolation, alienation and loss of influence by the most powerful nation globally, the text states.

In a practical sense, the only apparent result is the commitment to allocate 400 million dollars to the political subversion of sovereign states in blatant violation of international law, the document further notes.

The statement considers that the US Government missed the opportunity to convene an inclusive meeting, promoting cooperation and searching for solutions to any of the problems that urgently and seriously have an impact on the lives of most of the world’s population.

Cuba considers that the United States cannot provide solutions as long as its policies are an essential part of such serious problems.
