Together with Cuban and Italian brothers, we will make a pilgrimage of about 200 kilometers from Saint Francis of Assisi to the Vatican, the project leader, Cuban-American Carlos Lazo, said in exclusive statements to Prensa Latina from the United States.
For several days we will walk and demand an end to the sanctions that weigh on the Cuban people and, after we arrive to the Vatican on December 23, we will participate in a world vigil for peace and against Washington’s siege against Cuba, Lazo said.
In addition, he pointed out that the activists plan to meet in Italy with personalities and representatives of Cuba solidarity organizations to join forces against the policy of suffocation by the White House on Havana.
With these actions, Bridges of Love will close a year in which each month has summoned caravans to demand the end of the blockade imposed for six decades against Cuba, an initiative that is regularly replicated in various parts of the planet.
