Marcos Guzmán, coordinator of the Federico Brito National Communal Movement made statements to Prensa Latina rejecting the blockade with which, in his words, they try to drown a people of dignity and solidarity with those most in need in the world.
Guzman said that despite this unfair measure, Cuba has the love for its people and other nations of the world as a tool and presented as an example the sending of the Henry Reeve Medical Brigades, which also cooperated in Panama in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
The activist considered the US blockade of the island as a flagrant, massive and systematic violation of human rights, and urged other social movements to join in the demand for its removal.
He also refuted the fierce political-communication campaign attempting to create internal destabilization in Cuba unleashed by Washington.
