“We received an unprecedented loan (44 billion dollars), the largest to Argentina and from the IMF, which did not go through Parliament and was given directly to former President (Mauricio Macri) to support him in government,” presidential Spokeswoman Gabriela Cerruti said at a pres conference, at which she noted that there will be no adjustment in the country.
In the final stage of negotiations to reach an agreement, a delegation of Argentinean technicians went to the United States this week to hold several meetings with the IMF negotiating team.
During the conference, Cerruti pointed out that the Government is committed to promoting growth, and for growth to be equitable, work is necessary to bring the popular sectors, those who suffer the most from the consequences of inequality, closer to reduce the existing gap.
On the other hand, she confirmed that the Executive will send the announced multi-year Plan to Congress for debate before the end of the year, and Minister of Economy Martin Guzman will go to the Budget Committee on Monday to address the planned program for 2022.
