The previous highest peak was reported on September 3 (14,894 contagions) as the country was going through its worst moment in the fourth and current wave of infections.

However, such a rise in cases has been predicted for days, as Wednesday’s cases were 14,599 and 14,591 two days before.

This month, Vietnam has reported more than 13,500 daily contagions with the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus.
