At least 50 children, with birth date after 2004, were forcibly taken away by SDF members who assailed houses in the city of Qamishli.
According to reports from the national television al-Khabar, four girls were recruited in Qamishli and Amouda. All were taken to training camps to join SDF, the media added.
This recruitment, according to specialists, constitutes a crime since it deprives children of their rights to education and social care, and also involves them in US-backed groups.
In reaction, dozens of relatives protested on Tuesday in front of the UNICEF office in Qamishli asking for their children´s release, and raising banners condemning such actions that violate international laws and the rights of children and women.
