France to strengthen economic ties with Ecuador

Paris, Dec 7 (Prensa Latina) French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Franck Riester, will lead a delegation that will promote economic ties with Ecuador in Quito starting tomorrow, the French Foreign Ministry announced.

The Ministry noted in a press release that Riester will be accompanied by French businessmen with the aim of boosting relations in sectors such as transport, water and energy.

Riester will talk to Ecuador’s President Guillermo Lasso and the Ministers of Production and Foreign Trade, Julio José Prado; of Economy and Finance, Simón Cueva; of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources, Juan Carlos Bermeo; and Transport and Public Works, Marcelo Cabrera.

According to the Foreign Ministry of France, Riester will meet with the French business community and go to a chocolate production factory built with French investment.

During his stay, the minister will sign a support agreement from the French Development Agency (AFD) to promote the bioeconomy in the Amazon.
