According to the report, a patient died yesterday due to complications related to the disease, thus, the total mortality figure reaches 8,311 since last year; for a death rate of 0.86 percent compared to 1.98 percent worldwide and 2.41 in the American continent.
On the other hand, during the last hours 133 medical discharges were granted, with which 954,427 patients recovered from the disease in Cuba, representing 99.1 percent of all the infected during two years of pandemic.
Minsap’s report also indicates that 474 active patients are in hospitals, 456 of them clinically stable, while 11 are critical and seven are in serious condition.
For the detection of the cases reported today 13.055 PCR tests were applied throughout the country, reaching nationally 11,232,726 samples analyzed in almost two years of pandemic.
Provinces with highest figures are Holguín with 22 cases, Camagüey (11), Sancti Spíritus (10) and Havana, with eight confirmed.
