Dr. Francisco Duran, national director of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), noted that for epidemiological control 17,594 samples were analyzed, accounting for 11,219,671 since March 2020.
Of the total number of cases reported on December 5, nine come from abroad and in the case of five patients, the source of contagion has not been found yet. By age groups, 12 are under 20 years of age, 24 are from 20 to 39, 37 from 40 to 59, and 31 are 60 years of age or older.
Dr. Duran noted that 533 patients are in health institutions, including 513 with a stable clinical evolution, 11 are seriously ill and nine are in a critical condition, while 119 patients were discharged from hospitals, totaling 954,294 recovered patients.
