All travelers over 12 years of age who arrive in French territory must present a negative PCR or antigen test for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, made less than 24 or 48 hours prior to their arrival, depending on the origin.
The measure does not apply to those having a full vaccination plan against Covid-19, with vaccines validated in France, or those coming from the European Union, Andorra, Iceland, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and the Vatican.
Likewise, the Ministry of the Interior expanded the control categories: green, orange and red, depending on the circulation of the virus, adding scarlet red for nations affected by new dangerous SARS-CoV-2 variant, which has been called Omicron.
Southern African countries like Botswana, Eswatini, Mauritius, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe have been included in the highest risk classification so far.
