Dr. Yamila de Armas, agency’s president, highlighted the signing of the document on the Latin American Medicine Day and the joint work with the Ministry of Higher Education to strengthen alliances in terms of innovation.
In addition, she pointed out that this University is the first to consolidate those ties.
De Armas highlighted the link with a university team to export new services in the field of academic training and the will to welcome students and graduates to acquire practical skills.
“The most important thing is that they provide knowledge and contributions from their professors and students. We have among us graduates from this year and we are proud of their academic results,” she said.
Currently joint work is being done with Faculties of Tourism and of Law, the latter to strengthen the company’s contract platforms amid a worldwide media campaign against the export of Cuban medical services, she added.
For her part, PhD in Sciences Miriam Nicado, rector of the University of Havana, noted that the framework agreement can be enriched with postgraduate studies and research, in addition to bringing developed projects closer to Cuba’s business system.
Nicado mentioned initiatives inserted in national, territorial and sectoral programs like diagnostic elaboration for other countries, as an example of the application of basic sciences from computerization without taking scientific personnel abroad.
She noted that the Faculty of Mathematics has already implemented such a strategy.
