The solution is present in the ideas proposed by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to investigate the tragedy in two lines, one by the judiciary and the other within the legislative jurisdiction, Al Joumhouria (The Republic) newspaper pointed out.
That solution does not include removing Judge Tarek Bitar, in charge of the investigation, from the scene, despite discretions about his actions and non-compliance with legal and constitutional regulations, the publication added.
Bitar would remain in office within his jurisdiction and the former ministers involved in the catastrophe would present their arguments at an appropriate legal entity.
Such a proposal would solve the boycott and although all parties approved it, it was suddenly stopped for no known reason.
