In a meeting to assess the socioeconomic situation of the country, the head of state indicated that in 10 months of 2021 the Gross Domestic Product increased 2.4 percent and the foreign trade balance exceeded 2.7 billion dollars.
The president warned that aggressive narrative against Minsk still persists from abroad and that the nation faces coercive measures of an uncommon scale and depth.
Lukashenko stressed that the government must take measures so that the population does not suffer the impact of external sanctions, TASS news agency said.
He underlined that, so far, the country has managed to maintain economic growth and prevent most problems from having a direct impact on people’s every day life.
He emphasized that Belarus has always been and will always be an irreproachable payer of obligations. “Despite hardships, we have no right to lose such reputation”, he added.
