Speaking to reporters, Chamber President Antonio Carricarte noted that the statements by investors about their interests in new businesses have an important weight.

The Forum was superior to the previous one, he said, because it had larger participation, some 2,200 interested parties from 86 countries, accompanied by the constitution of panels that on many occasions were chaired by the highest figures in each sector.

In those presentations, business opportunities and trade prospects in each of the country’s prioritized sectors were explained, he stressed.

In addition, for the first time, new players such as micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and a virtual fair with more than 600 participants were included, elements that contributed to distinguish the forum.

Now, we must continue with the promotion of the Portfolio of Opportunities presented at the Forum, which is qualitatively superior with projects in all sectors and the participation of the territories.

The new portfolio contains 678 projects with more than 12 billion dollars in value.

It is a very good context for the revival of the Cuban economy that foreign investors join us, he indicated.

An important element is that the weight of foreign investment was shown in the National Development Program, and the intervention of Deputy Prime Minister Alejandro Gil.
