Penned in the presence of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and his Vietnamese counterpart, Le Van Thanh, the document establishes the development of full-scale production of the vaccine in Vietnam.
For its part, the Vabiotech company, from Vietnam, which already produces the Sputnik V vaccine, inked an agreement with the Sovico Group, also from that nation, to increase production of the Russian-made vaccine and start producing Sputnik Light, a single-dose version of Sputnik V.
The RDIF stated that it is now “actively collaborating with Vietnam’s regulatory agencies to register Sputnik Light.”
The signing of the agreements took place during Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s visit to Moscow, where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
