Diaz-Canel highlighted in his address to the participants of the event that has as topic “Global challenges of the XXI century: inter-party dimension”, the relations between both countries, based on historical ties, respect and mutual trust.
The President noted that these ties have been strengthened in recent years thanks to the fluid exchange of delegations and the contribution in different spheres, in which the Collaboration Agreement between the Cuban Communist Party and the United Russia party, adopted in 2017, played a fundamental role.
As he pointed out, the interest in continuing to strengthen relations with this country was evident during the foreign policy debate at the 8th Congress of the PCC, held in April this year.
The president expressed that this projection is consistent with the confidence of the Cuban State in the broad potential of bilateral collaboration between both countries and with the support that Cuba has received from the United Russia Party on issues of special relevance such as the complaint of the blockade imposed by the United States.
Díaz-Canel thanked the repeated pronouncements against the blockade, issued by Russian party, and the support of its fraction in the State Duma to the declaration approved each year on the Lower House of the Russian Parliament.
The Cuban head of state ratified his country’s interest in continuing to deepen the ties of friendship, solidarity and collaboration that unite both parties, nations and peoples.
