According to the daily press briefing on the pandemic, as many as 8,765 people are admitted, 240 more than those reported on Tuesday, while 1,483 are seriously ill.

France´s hospital situations are generating some concern in the country, given the increased cases and positive rate of coronavirus detection testing.

On Thursday, Health Minister Olivier Véran will announce new measures to deal with present situation. A new lockdown or curfew are ruled out, though.

It is expected French Government to tighten sanitary pass controls and stimulate vaccination, in particular the administration of the booster dose and the immunization against Covid-19 for French people reluctant to get vaccinated.
