CIEP-UCR interviewed 900 senior people from November 17 to 19, with a margin of error of 3%.
27% of those interviewed said corruption is the country´s major issue, followed by jobless (20%), cost of living and economic plight (17%), government mismanagement (11%) and poverty (5.8%).
According to CIEP-UCR researchers, alleged corruption cases -pointing out to state and municipal officials, including 6 mayors – have caused over 50% of population to have worsened their view on local governments and construction companies.
Likewise, 40% of those interviewed now have a worse opinion than before about the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and political parties in general.
