The activity organized by the Cingari company, distributor of the best cigars of the world in India and the South Asian region, was attended by Cuban Ambassador Alejandro Simancas and Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat.

Indian actor Kabir Bedi, famous for his performance of mythical adventure character Sandokan, the hero of the stories written by Italian novelist Emilio Salgari, was the guest of honor of the event.

Bedi launched his autobiographical book “Stories I Must Tell” and made statements to Prensa Latina, in which he recalled his visit to Cuba six years ago on the occasion of the Habano Festival.

Chetan Seth, Chairman of Cingari and host of the event, opened the Cup, which was well attended by the official, business, cultural and diplomatic sectors, and was broadcast in the main media of the city.

Attendees enjoyed two polo matches, a very traditional sport played on horseback in India, and an evening tinged with the aroma of cigars, the image of the Cuban flag and the contagious musical sounds of the Caribbean nation.
