Cuba: 99 percent of Covid-19 cases recovered

Havana, Nov 22 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Health Ministry (Minsap) reported on Monday that 99 percent of the people who suffered from Covid-19 have already recovered, and no deaths have been reported as a result of the disease in the last 24 hours.

In a press conference, national director of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Duran, explained that during the last 24 hours, 240 people were detected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

He added that of 1,392 active cases in Cuba, 1,350 are clinically stable, 39 people remain in intensive care, including 16 in a critical condition and 23 in a serious condition.

Dr. Duran stressed that no deaths were reported, so the death toll in the country remains at 8,295.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, in March 2020, the Minsap has reported 960,802 cases in total.
