“Armenia agrees with holding this meeting,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman Vaan Unanian said in statements to the TASS news agency.
On Friday, the European Council released a statement on the agreement reached by its head, Charles Michel, with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinin to meet within the framework of that forum.
The day before, the Azerbaijani government expressed its acceptance of the proposal. “The Azerbaijani side is always open to political dialogue and has a positive attitude towards such contacts,” said the Foreign Ministry of that Caucasian country.
“We think that the Brussels summit and the planned meeting will create additional opportunities in this regard,” the Azerbaijani diplomatic service noted.
