Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdolahian said that the only way to solve the Arab-Israeli dispute is through a referendum among all the original inhabitants of the now occupied country.
Abdolahian asserted the right of the Palestinians to fight against the invader. In any case, he added, the British position of declaring the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, HAMAS, a terrorist organization distorts the facts.
“The only political solution for Palestine consists of a referendum with all the inhabitants,” he emphasized in a message posted on social networks.
London adopted a resolution to outlaw Hamas and joined the United States, Canada and the European Union in disregarding the just cause of the oppressed people.
In 2001, the UK government outlawed Hamas’ military wing, the Ezzedin Al-Qassam Brigades, and now the political wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement.
According to the governmental provision, the British justice system will impose penalties of up to 14 years or fines for those who express support for the movement, meet with its members, fly its flag or even wear clothing allegorical of solidarity with the group.
