Cuba reports 287 new Covid-19 cases, three deaths

Havana, Nov 20 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Saturday reported 287 new positive Covid-19 cases, totaling 960,472 infections, and three deaths, the Public Ministry (MINSAP) confirmed.

In its usual press briefing, MINSAP regretted three deaths, a toll amounting to 8,283 since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.

As many as 19,955 tests were carried out at the end of November 19, jumping total to 10,909,313.

Fifty-three cases were reported in youths under 20 years of age, from 20 to 39 years (72), 40 to 59 (97) and over 60 (65). Work is done on three patients to determine the source of infection. There are 1,515 patients currently hospitalized, 26 of them serious condition and 20 critically-ill.

254 people were discharged in the last hours, reaching a total of 950,707 recoveries (99%), the source said.

Holguin province continues to report the highest number of positive cases (68), followed by Camagüey (60) and Sancti Spíritus (38).
