On Twitter, Marrero pointed out that the Cuban people “carry out military drills as part of training for the defense of our sovereignty.”
The military drills put an end to the Moncada-2021 Strategic Military Exercise, which began on Thursday with the goal of studying actions to face risk situations and attacks on the country’s security amid a scenario of Unconventional War imposed by the United States.
As part of the military exercise, actions are aimed at training popular forces (Territorial Troops Militia and Production and Protection Brigades), defense zones and units belonging to the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) and the Interior Ministry (MININT).
The National Defense Day is one of the key forms of materializing popular nature for protecting Cuba from possible aggressions.
