A statement from the foreign ministry said at the 23rd meeting of the “Working Mechanism for Consultation & Coordination on India-China Border Affairs”, the two sides “agreed on the need to find an early resolution to the remaining issues along the LAC in Eastern Ladakh”.
Indian Foreign Ministry said its delegation was led by the Additional Secretary (East Asia) Naveen Srivastava, while the Director General of the Borders and Oceans Department of China´s Foreign Ministry Hong Liang led the counterpart.
Both sides recalled the agreement reached by respective foreign ministers during their September´s meeting held in Dushanbé, Tajikistan, in order to continue discussions to solve remaining issues along the Royal Line of Control that works as Ladakh stand-off.
Both countries should hold the forthcoming 14th round of military meetings at an early date so as to complete the removal of all sticking points under existing two-way agreements and protocols. mh/pll/mem/abm
