The head of the Cuban mission in Beirut, Alexander Pellicer, received the statement from the hands of the representative of the FDLP in Lebanon, Ali Faisal.

The statement rejects the blockade and the US interventionist policy against Cuba, which includes a recently cooked-up plan to create chaos and destabilize the island.

The Palestinian Democratic Youth Union and the youth wing of the FDLP had previously held an evening of support for the Revolution and the Cuban people in their struggle and against Washington’s projects.

The union’s general secretary, Youssef Ahmed, along with other leaders of the Palestinian youth organization, demonstrated their support for Cuba in the face of hostility from the US government.

Ahmed stressed that the failure of a conspiracy planned by Washington against Cuba, confirmed the revolutionary strength of the Cuban people, who have resisted more than 60 years of a blockade imposed by the United States.

The Palestinian youth union affirmed that these aggressions are also against Palestine.
