Accompanied by Reem Al-Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the illustrious visitor was received by Roberto Blanco, Cuban Ambassador to this Arab country and general commissioner of the Caribbean nation’s pavilion.
The visitors received an explanation of the areas and showed particular interest in the exhibits dedicated to Cuban medicine and biotechnology.
Dr. Alex Carrera, head of the medical collaboration in the UAE, gave a brief account on Cuba’s scientific progress in these fields and the successes of the Cuban Covid-19 vaccines.
His Highness tasted Cubita coffee, highlighted the beauty of the Cuban seabed, the quality of several brands of Cuban cigars and the taste of honey.
The ambassador expressed to the Crown Prince and his companion the satisfaction for the visit, and His Highness expressed his gratitude for the attention received during the tour, enlivened by performances by Cuban violinist Jorge Alejandro Vazquez, who lives in Dubai.
