Qomi, leading a delegation, arrived in Kabul on Monday and held talks with several officials of the Islamic Emirate, among them Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, TOLO news reported.
Muttaqi said the Iranian delegation was comprised of technical teams from different ministries who held talks with relevant Afghan teams.
He added that issues related to economic cooperation, border issues and Afghan refugees in Iran will be discussed.
Qomi further noted that Afghanistan is under sanctions and Iran is trying to expand its economic cooperation with Kabul at this crucial juncture.
Since the Taliban’s takeover, Afghanistan is facing a humanitarian crisis and is in desperate need of international assistance.
