During a visit to the city of Samjiyon (northeast), which is undergoing a deep remodeling, the North Korean leader said it is necessary to expand the good experiences achieved in this work.

It is necessary to urgently take organizational, structural and state measures to achieve this goal in provinces, cities and counties, he said.

The city will enjoy housing for thousands of families, public buildings and factories, education facilities, water and sewage systems, roads, green areas and power transmission lines in more than 10 neighborhoods and communes.

Kim also emphasized that everything was built taking into account the natural environment and the characterisctics of every area.

Measures are being taken to protect forests around the cities from various negative factors such as diseases, harmful insects and changing temperatures, he underlined.
