Lebanese party leader calls for utopia for Cuba

Cuba, Líbano, Palestina, solidaridad
Beirut, Nov 15 (Prensa Latina) The Head of Lebanese Al Wafa (Loyalty) Party Ahmad Alawan on Monday called for a utopia for Cuba, vaccines of fraternity, brotherhood and unity, during a Palestine-Cuba solidarity meeting.

In this way, Alawan alluded to Cuba´s development of five Covid-19 vaccine candidates, thanks to which the so-called Normalcy in Cuba just began.

Organized by the Palestine-Cuba Friendship Association and the League of Palestinian Graduates in Cuba, participants in the meeting strongly rejected US actions to overshadow Cuban success in fighting the pandemic.

Salah Salah, head of Palestine-Cuba solidarity meeting and that of the League of Palestinian Graduates in Cuba Ali El Khatib, praised Cuba´s contributions and breakthroughs to just causes of the world, including that of Palestine.

The ceremony was held at the Chatila Palestinian refugee camp decked with posters alluding to ties between the two peoples.

Cuba and Palestine are fighting in the same trench to fight off the United States and Israel.

The Cuban ambassador in Lebanon Alexander Pellicer recalled the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro who during a counterrevolutionary riot held in Havana in 1994 broke out and after meeting and talking to the crowd, Fidel Castro turned the protest into a revolutionary reaffirmation.

A similar episode happened on July 11, as hundreds of people took to the streets protesting in several Cuban cities and current Cuban President and First Secretary of the Communist Party Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudes showed up and calmed everyone down.

In which country in the world do the top leaders intervene in anti-government demonstrations? asked Pellicer; just in Cuba “because its people overwhelmingly support revolutionary values.”
