In a ceremony held at the Cuban embassy in Kazakhstan, participants strongly condemned the commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for more than 60 years.
In this regard, the association members described the US hostile actions as a flagrant violation of International Law and a threat to peace for the entire Latin American and Caribbean region.
Emilio Pevida, Cuban ambassador in the country, thanked participants for raising their voice opposing measures the US authorities are intending to stifle the Cuban people.
In that respect, Mr. Pevida particularly condemned the economic US blockade tightened amid the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the media hype that is rife with lies and manipulations as part of the fourth-generation unconventional war that is being imposed on Cuba.
The Cuban diplomat recalled that Cuba opens its borders to international tourism on Nov. 15, as a safe destination, as well as resumes the in-person school year, with more than 90% of children and adolescents vaccinated,” Mr. Pevida said.
