In a statement sent to Prensa Latina through diplomatic channels, the group affirmed that it joins the demand for the welfare and stability demanded by its compatriots and friends from other countries.
The note states the respect for the laws that sustain the political and social system chosen by more than 85 percent of Cubans and endorsed in the Constitution.
“We condemn the blockade of the United States Government against Cuba, a criminal policy that has cost lives, impeded the development of the country and tried to drag us into its plans,” the text reads.
Washington tightens oppressive economic measures, prevents the arrival of aid amid the Covid-19 pandemic and obstructs any action aimed at protecting the Cuban citizens, it assures.
